Digital Designer

 

Responsible for creating all forms of digital design as required by the company, taking ownership of briefs from account handling and translating them into smart, modern, engaging digital work. Working in collaboration with the Design Director to make sure projects are delivered to a high standard and within a reasonable timeframe. Keeping abreast of the wider industry and current trends in digital design. Where necessary, communicating ideas and process to the wider team.

Creative delivery

  • Developing projects from initial planning right through to deployment, including planning, wireframes, creative and development direction
  • Constantly developing ideas which generate assets for use on our website or social media
  • Lead the agency in the execution and delivery of photography for internal and external requirements
  • Collaborate with the motion department to create engaging content for the business and clients
  • Involve internal resources to maximise project delivery Eg. Copywriting, planning
  • Exploring options and alternatives to deliver progressive design solutions

In Support of Client Services 

  • Using solution focused thinking to deliver a client’s expectations (within reason), rather than presenting obstacles
  • Simplifying problems, presenting complex ideas in a user-friendly format
  • Defining project requirements and managing expectations
  • Working to support pitch documents as defined by the brief
  • Equipping client services with ideas, solutions, and timeframes to assist the best possible outcomes for the client
  • Liaising with Client Services to understand client expectations
  • Working off-site as required as an additional support for client services to fulfil all aspects of the project Process
  • Adapting to changes in workload which deliver on time and within budget
  • Following internal processes of project delivery to establish and maintain collaboration with the whole team
  • Preferably daily, but always weekly, you keep your time sheets up to date and accurate, so we ensure we are delivering profitability.

Development & Growth 

  • Maintaining an awareness of current trends and cutting-edge examples within the industry (through aggregating sites like awwwards)
  • Actively searching for new, useful tools and learning how to use them
  • Presenting and discussing ideas of potential growth areas for the agency
  • Ongoing proficiency with industry-standard design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch)
  • Using downtime to enhance skills further or contribute to development of the agency
  • Passing on skills to whoever will benefit from them to maximise business efficiency
