HR Advisor

 

We are looking for a HR Advisor to join the team to drive forward and implement the strategy for the attraction, development and retention of talent for the agency, based on a clear people strategy. You are the first point of daily contact for all members of the agency team and by using a considered and fair approach to all HR related matters, you provide guidance and support to resolving issues and finding the right solutions. By working collaboratively, you build strong working relationships, generating a lasting trust and reliability in all aspects of people and performance management. Ultimately, you encourage an environment that values people and engages them to perform at their best.

Description of responsibilities:

Performance management and continuous improvement

  • Working closely with Managers to ensure consistency in delivery of appraisals, and 1-2-1’s and to support high performance in all aspects of each role
  • Reviewing and updating job descriptions
  • Encouraging a focus on the delivery of business values for ultimate all round performance and upholding culture
  • Carrying out regular training needs analysis to identify priorities to meet and exceed the standards required (interpersonal and technical skills)
  • Sourcing and coordinating a range of training to enhance performance and personal development
  • Coordinating regular reviews of talent and succession plans to ensure future ambitions are realised, gaps are filled, and risks are managed
  • Actively advising and coaching managers on all aspects of performance and attendance management

Retention

  • Working closely with the senior team to ensure a fair and consistent approach to reward and recognition
  • Reviewing salaries in line with market rates and benefits packages and suggesting enhancements/changes where appropriate
  • Coaching and advising where needed to support individual engagement and career satisfaction
  • Developing relationships that encourage open conversations and proactively manage opportunities as well as addressing issues
  • Being aware of the findings from the NPS survey and using it as a benchmark for making Ponderosa an even better place to work

Management of policies and processes

  • To be the first point of contact for all HR queries and enquiries
  • To manage the Breathe HR system and optimise its efficiency in recording, and storing up to date information relating to each team member
  • Utilising the Breathe HR system to analyse information, spot trends and produce reports to support decisions
  • Working in collaboration with the Blacks Protect service to ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and relevant to good employment law practices,
  • Ensuring all ER matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements,
  • Providing full and accurate administrational support on all aspects people management e.g., contracts, offer letters, induction, probation, promotions, absence, and leavers.

Attraction and recruitment

  • Working with the group talent acquisition lead to manage the recruitment process, establishing and implementing fair selection processes including acknowledgements and responses to candidates.
  • Understanding resource planning requirements
  • Using the most appropriate recruitment methods to ensure that high quality candidates are sourced cost effectively
  • Promoting new opportunities, e.g., Apprenticeships, Internships, and work experience, to develop a reputation as a recommended place to work
  • Implementing ‘slick’ onboarding processes that help new starters to quickly establish themselves in their role and free up Managers’ time .

 

The Package

  • Full Time 37.5hrs (Mon – Fri 09.00 – 17.30)
  • Salary £25 – £28k based on experience
