A right royal celebration for Jackpotjoy

Rigorous Insight

Jackpotjoy had appointed Paddy McGuinness as their new brand ambassador, taking over the throne from the ‘Queen of Bingo’, Barbara Windsor.

Although there would be a TV ad showing Barbara’s abdication, we recognised Jackpotjoy’s need to connect more directly with its customers by creating some extra buzz and excitement around the new Royal appointment. So, we made it more about the New Coronation.

Inspirational Ideas

What better way to celebrate the crowning of a new royal than to offer some fancy collectables? In typically Jackpotjoy style, we produced 6,000 commemorative plates, all adorned with the majestic face of Paddy. These were given away to key partners and supported by a huge national press campaign with tongue-in-cheek adverts.

Real results

Requests for the commemorative plates were double what was expected (with more having to be ordered) and registrations of new players topping out at 135% against the plan.

The major highlight for us was to see the plates being sold on eBay within hours of being delivered.
