We have been working with Leeds Bradford Airport on a variety of projects to widen their appeal and show customers that the airport has a wide variety of destinations to fly to, and is the better option for local customers compared to other airports like Manchester.

Better Insights

Leeds Bradford Airport needed more people to fly with Wizz Air from their airport, however the current campaign wasn’t performing.

Brand tracking showed that awareness of Wizz Air flying from Leeds Bradford Airport was low, so advertising needed to highlight the airport. The client needed results quickly, so we focused the campaign on consumers taking last minute short breaks.

Better Ideas

The campaign idea ‘Wizz Away’ dramatized how easy it was for consumers to fly to Eastern Europe at the drop of a hat.

Inspirational travel imagery of the locations excited consumers considering a short break while the departure board visual device clearly reminded the local audience that they could fly straight out of God’s own country.

Ponderosa worked with the Wizz Air team to set up tracking and point traffic to a landing page with LBA pre-selected as the departing airport.
